Culver farm, listed in the Doomsday Book, was of particular personal interest. I knew the owner of the farmhouse, an elderly gentleman in his 80s who sold the cottage and associated buildings to move into a more modern, 1920s, terraced house and agreed that I could photograph the cottage before it was sold. It was eventually sold to a property developer who planed to "restore" it considerably but unfortunately it caught fire late one night and was damaged beyond repair so had to be demolished. Fortunately I photographed the cottage quite extensively before the fire.
